Spring Sports, Hikes, Beach Days

Spring soccer had BEAUTIFUL weather. I remember opting out of spring soccer in years past, due to all the rumors of terrible, rainy, miserable, muddy days. Then I had a kid who loved soccer SO much that he begged to do spring soccer. And what do you know! Every spring season since has been simply gorgeous. It's lighter later each week of the season, the rain is mixed with warm sunny moments (lots of rainbows), and it's just generally been a GOOD IDEA :) Marcus and Max had a blast playing this spring.

Marin tried a new sport as well - Track and Field! Middle school sports are awesome. I love the chance to try something new. She mostly loved the field sports of shotput and long jump, but also did the 400m relay with her friends. So much fun!

We took advantage of a day off school with beautiful weather, and took a family trip to the coast. First time for the puppy :)

The Quatama kids had their spring jog-a-thon! Another beautiful day in Oregon, and the kids ran their buns off.

Several other outings sprinkled in - hike in Forest park, field trip with middle schoolers to the park (nothing like 7th graders swinging with abandon! ha ha)
