Welcome to the family Marcus Kyle Corrigan

We are so happy to announce the birth of our son - Marcus Kyle Corrigan was born on Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at 7:03am... He weighed 9 lbs, 2 oz and measured 21.5 inches long... Big boy!

Labor and delivery went smoothly, and we are now settled at home getting adjusted to our family of six! Kyle has two weeks off work, so that is helping us all get into our new groove. The kids are ga-ga about their new brother, always asking to hold him... It's a huge help to have at least two older sisters who can sit with him on the couch - extra helping hands for this busy family :)

We sure love our new little bug, and are so thankful for this precious gift.

This was a special gift Kyle suprised me with after I delivered. So sweet - 2 parents & 4 kids - I love it so much.

Marin lost her tooth

We just had a momentous occasion in the Corrigan home - our first lost tooth! Marin has been working on several loose ones, and finally she talked Mom into yanking it out with her bare hands :) Oh the things I'll do for my brave 6 year old girl! The loose tooth was "pulled" just minutes after arriving home from a fun weekend with Nana and Poppy, and as you can see here during Poppy's storytime, I think Marin was already working on getting that thing out!

The tooth fairy surprised Marin in the morning with a gold dollar coin... She was only expecting a quarter, but as Marin told me "Mommy, I PRAYED that God would have the tooth fairy give me one... or two... or two million... dollars instead of a quarter, and look what happened!" (You can't make this stuff up) - Love my girl!

Happy Fourth of July

Due to baby's anticipated arrival, we had to skip our usual plans to be at Camano Island with my fam for 4th of July. It was sad to miss those fun festivities, but thankfully our friends are loads of fun and we had a blast at home! Kyle got a few little things for our kids to blast off at home, then we headed to the Payne's house for a BBQ with a bunch of pals. I tried to get a family picture with all our Independence Day gear on, but the kids noticed a hot-tub at the party, and pleaded desperately to go swimming in their clothes. How could I refuse, I mean I'm a cool mom :) So no group picture, but lots of fun achieved instead. Afterwards we went to the Bury's neighborhood to watch US Marshall Jordan blow off his stash of goodies. Somehow I don't worry much about hands getting blown off (and such) when these two daddies are in charge. Instead I got to cuddle Maddie and Jewel who were playing it cool around these wild fireworky things. Marin can barely stand her life, she gets so excited about stuff like this! Max just loves racing after the older boys because as he likes to say "I'm much big". A great holiday and glad to be close to home this year, just for peace of mind as I wait wait wait for this tiny baby to come :)

Ice Cream

These last days before Baby #4 arrives are being filled with random requests from my three sweet children... I think they know time is ticking! We hit the Dollar Store for a special shopping date using money from their piggy banks, and used a Yogurt Munch gift card we've had for over a year :) We also got the special treat of seeing our Vancouver cousins AGAIN (twice in one week, awesome!) when Kyle's mom brought them along to help me at my doctor's appointment (thanks again Nana!)

Riding high

Max's new favorite pasttime: riding high in the form of piggy back, shoulders or Daddy's head. Lucky for him, he has lots of people willing to tote him around! My baby is almost not the baby of the family anymore :( Well, he got to have that privilege longer than either of his sisters! :)

Tea with the Corrigan ladies

Over the weekend we had a family BBQ gathering with all the Corrigan sibs & families, and earlier in the day all the moms with daughters went out for fancy tea! Even the little-est one, our 3 year old niece Annalise joined. She was the best behaved of all of us actually :) Fun to see our little ladies being fancy, and have quality time with some of my favorite women. Thanks Nana for hosting this special time for all of us!

And here are all of my neices & nephews on the Corrigan side - such a special time together!
