Halloween 2016

Another fun costume year in the books! Can I just say though... my kids are getting older... the "group theme" took a hiatus this year... I was pushing BIG TIME for my four to be different colored M&M's (get it? all their names start with M? they could all be a different plush M?)... Soooo, that reallllly awesome idea should have been used when they were all under the age of 6... but you see, back then I had one chance for Marcus to be Baby Jesus so I have no regrets. And in previous years, they came up with the group ideas themselves (Jesus Christmas, Santa Christmas, Frozen, Star Wars)... I cannot say no to four cute kids who come up TOGETHER with a group theme. This year, we all went our own way (you can go your own way... go your own wayyyyy)

The rundown:
Marin - Cleopatra (complete with eyeliner, which made her entire life worth living)
Maddie - Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter blondie)
Max - Ninja
Marcus - Cow/Spiderman (honestly with the dual costumes every year)
Mommy - Minion
Daddy - Chicken

As you can see, we are the smorgasbord of life. The girls gave me a moment of silence so I could grieve the end of a dream (my M&M's idea)... Maybe they will surprise me as teenagers and all do that one on their own (sure mom, keep dreamin')...

They are the cutest, and we have 5 gallon ziplocs stuffed to the gills with candy now. This is what yoga pants were invented for! :)

Four year old train ride with Nana

Marcus was ecstatic to finally be old enough for his 4 year old train ride with Nana. Last of my kids to celebrate this tradition! Special memories...

Apple Farm field trip

I went with Marcus' class to the Apple Farm for one of their fall field trips... Preschoolers are really special, and I can say that confidently having raised four of my own. Maybe I feel that way even more now that I can see how they will grow out of this "little" stage of life. They ARE SO CUTE!! I loved every minute.

I love the joy oozing from this little human.
He is so full of vivacious life!!

Building Bunk Beds

We have had a goal to bunk the boys soon, and so once we started researching beds online we remembered how expensive shotty furniture can be ;) So... after a short discussion our amazing handy-man Daddy decided to whip out his own. Give the man some graph paper and a ride to Home Depot, and pretty much anything is possible. The result was the most AMAZING bunk bed set I have ever seen. I hop up and down on it all the time, and it has never even given me so much as a SHIMMY. Compared to the girls' bunks, it is just so obvious that these bunks are so sturdy and amazing. The boys adore them, and are learning how to share their space like the girls have had to do. Little brothers like to mess stuff up! But Marcus is learning how to respect, and Max is exercising his patience muscles. After a month or two of sharing, they are both totally proficient at "sneaking out" in the morning so they don't wake eachother up. Awesome.

Big brother on the top bunk.

Fingers up brother's nose. Classic!

Putting on the bedding for the first time!
