Fall Fun

The fall is upon us! It's a milestone year, with this someone "graduating" from high school, midde school and elementary school this year. Lots of transition and kids working hard.

Marcus went to outdoor school. It was his first overnight outside of our family circle - he loved it! Funny enough, it was at Camp Arrah Wannah (connected to the beloved Corrigan Cabin), so those woods and trails were a great comfort to him. It's a very special place! He made some fun projects in class too.

Max had Pastries with Parents, where I got to tag along and have an excuse to be on his campus chatting up teachers, while he huddles with his friends.

Marin decided to go to her first high school dance and had an awesome time at Homecoming with lots of great friends. She is also enjoying her Ceramics 2 class (second year), and has been encouraged by her teacher to enter an art contest! She also had her senior pictures taken (one included as a sneak peek! More to share later)

Maddie got to experience her first college tour. We took both girls back to OSU for another open house event. In addition to the school, we met up with the Chi Alpha campus ministry staff, and that was fun to hear what they are doing on campus with students. Marin was accepted by Early Admission to OSU, and she has accepted -  we officially have a Beaver in the house! It has been fun for her to envision her life there, every time we visit. Exciting for both our girls to explore the college world. Maddie is loving her Childhood Development pathway in school, and her biggest joy every day is spending with her preschoolers.

The boys enjoyed another great season of soccer, and even got to travel to Tillamook a few times (gotta stop at the Tillamook Cheese Factory when in town).

And a collection of other random moments, which matter just as much as the big ones! My sign game is going pretty well, if I do say so myself. Trying to mix it up with a a smattering of corny, silly, wise phrases to catch my family by surprise.
