Sunriver

Another generous gift to our family - Nana and Poppy gave us four days at their rental house in Sunriver! We were so excited to be able to have another pandemic-friendly adventure in our own house, and enjoy all the fun stuff in Sunriver. We hit the lava caves, the bike trails (first time here with an entire family full of bikers!), bumper cars, movie nights, bungie swings, floating on the river. That last part was not looking possible (we had decided to skip the crowded river float shuttles and public pools). Which leads me to another really cool part of the trip.

Our pediatrician (who has been with us since the day Marin was born), just purchased property in La Pine with her husband. It's like 30+ acres of undeveloped forest along the Little Deschutes River. We saw our doctor A LOT this summer, and I mean a lot. Somewhere along the way, we told her we would be at Sunriver for a few days, and she invited our family to come visit their property. "Trust me, you will not be sorry. It is like a little slice of heaven". She was right. We met them at their rustic property, set up with a few chairs and a badminton net. We spent almost the entire day there, floating their river, playing games, stomping through the woods. Marin and Kyle even threw on their work clothes and helped them do some work on the property. So much fun!!

One of the kids thought this would be a sweet
way to tell a crush about their feelings.
I won't say who, but oh man. SWEET!
