Happy 15th Birthday to Marin

Our amazing Marin has turned 15! Since the world is still in pandemic-mode... a birthday party was not in the cards. Thankfully last year she had a huge party with her friends, and this is the first year in a long time we have done something low key. Her birthday request was all her favorite foods (Lucky Charms birthday cereal, crepes for lunch, homemade sushi for dinner, a "book" birthday cake), a family hike to Cooper Mountain, and a trip to the zoo! The zoo actually felt like a special outing because it had been closed for so long. At this point, we were just happy to have anywhere to go :)

We are so blessed by our incredible daughter. She is responsible, funny, creative, focused and awakening to the side of her that's a dreamer. Sometime you can ask her about her dream journal! This will be the year she gets to REALLY enter high school (online school for 9th grade doesn't count), she will learn to drive, the world will start to open up to her even more. She has been content in her little oasis that is her bedroom, during a crazy year of Covid, but I know the time is coming when she will want to spread her wings and fly some more. I am both excited and sad for this transition. I love my strong, independent and beautiful daughter... she will always be my spunky baby girl!
