School year wrap

Another fantastic school year in the books... Marin finishing up 4th grade with the most fabulous Mrs. Jones, Madeline finishing 3rd grade with the "A-Team" Ms Angal and Mrs Anderson (this is a bit sad to me, as this is the end of a three year streak with this awesome teaching team! Marin had them two years in a row, then Maddie right after... it's going to be strange to have to wait three more years for Max to be here). Max GRADUATING from kindergarten, with the full energy of a kid ready for first grade, and of course Marcus who completed his first year of 3's preschool. Wow. Lots of friends to remember, lots of teachers to thank, a busdriver to thank, so many memories we have collected, friends who have moved away, friends who will move away this summer...

All my big kids came home from the bus on the last day of school IN TEARS. One of them started crying, then the other two just let their own floodgates open, and (I am not joking) we all cried for like an hour with backpacks still on. It's so hard to say goodbye to good things! Aren't those kind of tears just so amazing in their own unique way?  When you have had such a special experience, you literally want to CRY when it's over??? (And let me say, not all my kids are really "criers" when it comes to stuff like this). I found the whole moment so touching and unique. I love my kids so much, what amazing memories they are making!
