Wow, it's going to be a great year! Two boys in elementary and two girls in middle school. Maddie was feeling the butterflies as her first day of middle school approached. She did so great, even though she was pretty nervous. Having a friend meet you outside the entrance always helps :)

The poor thing also got very sick the first week of school, and it was super stressful for her missing several days of school when they are all just getting the hang of 7 periods, lockers, portables, passing time, LIFE AS A MIDDLE SCHOOLER.
All that to sat, the first couple weeks of school were sort of bananas, but such is life, this too shall pass, and onward we go!
Our new morning routine is pretty great - the boys head out first, and an hour later the girls leave for their bus... It's been cool to have some morning devotional reading/discussion time over breakfast together with both sets, catered more to their different stages in life. Plus, teenagers need more sleep!!!
The kids have awesome teachers, and I'm volunteering like crazy, as much as I can. My favorite part of the week. God bless all these teachers... You only have to spend one day in a classroom, to be in awe of how much a teacher has to manage!! So thankful I'm able to support them in a small way.
