Happy 16th milestone birthday to Max! He had a great day filled with birthday cereal, pie, presents, affirmations, a yummy dinner out, and his favorite thing on earth: soccer! I couldn't pass up a chance to spoil (embarrass?) him at his high school soccer workout, surprising the teams with donuts. They sang a hearty round of "Happy Birthday" while Max gave me some serious side eye for putting him on the spot. Maybe he secretly appreciated all the love. Coach told the boys he was glad they joined soccer, and not choir club :) Max is so smart, so funny, so dedicated, so strong in spirit and stature, and we are SO proud of him. Love you, Max!
Other adventures: shooting at the gun range, getting his drivers' license (ask me how much it costs to insure three teen drivers, I dare you! He is a great driver too). and his first exciting year of club soccer.
