My friends' daughter celebrated turning 15 years old, and keeping with Mexican tradition, they held a Quinceanera! We were so honored to be invited, and the girls and I thoroughly enjoyed all the unique parts of this celebration. It was all in Spanish, at their Catholic church in Forest Grove, and despite the language barrier, I was able to understand quite a bit, and explain things to the girls as things progressed through the ceremony. It was just very touching and important to see a family gather around a young girl as she comes of age. I love how family oriented they are, and how much they love each other. Blessed.
