Little bits of fall (indoors)

The other half of pandemic life means finding new and interesting things to be doing inside our house. I know, how exciting! But truly... I'm thankful for this house, which is a refuge, a safe and comfortable place for us all to be. Aside from school and work, we have also had all-sibling-sleepovers, lots of baking, lots of eating, snuggling the dog, taking selfies, wrestling, hair makeovers, puzzles, piano playing, violin playing, blasting music on the Alexa, dancing in the kitchen and downright making ourselves loopy playing the same board games over and over again!

Little bits of fall (outdoors)

We've had lots of time with unscheduled time in life to get out of the house and go on little outdoor adventures. pandemic-friendly, of course :) A few air soft gun battles in the woods, a trip to the zoo, a visit with grandparents to Jackson Bottom Wetlands, some four-square and wall-ball tournaments, bike rides to Insomnia Coffee, some socially distanced soccer (yes, it's a real thing!), regular trail walks (with certain people needing lots of breaks), rescuing a baby squirrel who fell from the nest, a couple hikes through Forest Park to Pittock Mansion, and a visit from a peacock in the DMV line.
