Our bestie camping trip was made extra exciting this year, because our besties got an RV. Once we all got over our envy and outrage at this fact (we pride ourselves on being the same apparently), it was super fun to have a place to hang out while we waited for the crab pots, and the kids enjoyed marveling at things like "playing board games without the cards blowing away" and other phenomena. Kyle and Marin took the kyaks out just once (winds were very high on this trip), and it turned out to be their last due to BOTH of them getting flipped into the sea. Scary!! They lost a little bit of fishing gear, but I'm just glad they made it out okay! The ocean is no joke, man.
This trip is a definite highlight of our entire year, at our favorite campground on the coast. Gorgeous and cool weather, which was an extra good thing because NO SHOWERS for five days (thank you COVID). It wasn't so bad. We love our Bury besties!
