My big girl has started babysitting! So far (aside from her siblings, with which she has had a LOT of practice), she has started babysitting two families. The best experience by far, is for my friend Julie and her 4 kids age 8 and under :) Marin had a weekly "mom's helper" job all summer, which led to true babysitting as she got more comfortable. Talk about a learning experience! The most dramatic thing that happened this summer was a really messy bloody nose with the baby, which really freaked her out (understandably). She can handle anything now! Julie and I love to say "you can't scare me, we have four kids!" Hashtag fourkidslife :) Marin loves those kids, and they love her! (Side note: when your child babysits for some of your best friends, they get built in awesome relationships with other "moms" in their lives... BONUS!!!)
